Hanson's Aussie Tours - Past and Present

[Charity Concert 2000] [Acoustic Tour 2004] [Electric Tour 2005]

Hanson's Acoustic Concerts: Melbourne @ the HiFi Bar, Wednesday, 17th Nov 2004, and Sydney @ Space, Friday, 19th Nov 2004:

In 2004 during Hanson's Underneath promotional tour, Hanson played two Acoustic concerts - one in Melbourne and one in Sydney. For Australian Hanson fans, these concerts were a long time coming, and the Aussie fans showed their appreciation coming from all corners of the country, and across the Tasman from New Zealand.

Below is the setlists from both these shows, including highlights and a couple of pics from the shows.

Melbourne @ the HiFi Bar, Wednesday, 17th Nov 2004

The Melbourne crowd was really excited as this was Australia's first taste of a real Hanson concert. Hanson have said that Melbourne was definately one of the loudest crowds they've ever played in front of. Highlights of this show included Taylor jumping over the piano as he walked onstage, the crowd singing "Happy Birthday" to Isaac ("That's the loudest I've ever had that sung to me"), hearing Isaac sing the unreleased song "Being Me", and hearing favourites such as "MMMBop", "Penny & Me", and "If Only".

Sydney @ Space, Friday, 19th Nov 2004

Definate highlights of this show included Taylor walking onstage with the Aussie Hanson Flag held high above his head. After showing his appreciation for the gift, he placed the flag on the piano where it remained for the rest of the show.

The Sydney concert was AMAZING... the energy in the crowd was high, and Hanson played off this energy. Memorable moments included the bluesy cover of "Ain't No Sunshine", Hanson rocking out on "You Never Know" and "Lost Without Each Other", followed by Taylor standing on top of the piano after the last song, and Andrew G from Channel V and Idol rocking out to Hanson.
